DUSK009 - TWO BOOTS EP
Featuring 2 tracks by Lance Jordan.
THE REAPER - A bubbling hi engery tech house shuffle groover with bouncy bassline which features a classic vocal nicely chopped and gated! The track has high dance floor pumping energy and will easily rock a room at peak hour. The middle breakdown section keeps the energy building with some excellent use of vintage guitar riffs culminating with a sick turntable effect banging back in with a white noise crescendo. Clocking at 6:53 this one is all killer no filler! (except the dance floor of course).
CROSSES - Jordan gives us a different take on a track previously made famous by a Tiesto remix. This one starts right out with some nice distorted percussion elements, a solid driving beat and a playful 80s sample some may recognize. The track keeps you guessing when the fuzzy distorted synth bass kicks in as the track smoothly oscillates from dirty to smooth and melodic in a seamless way. The track settles into a hypnotic melodic guitar and vocal from the original by Jose Gonzalez and is further tastefully flavored by a warm fuzzy lead synth line. Though not probably a dance floor killer, the track works well for a mood builder or on that mix set for the proverbial long car drive.
Chus and Ceballos played some pretty sick music last night @ Cielo
I hadn’t seen them in a while and was quite impressed with their music selection. They have definitely kept up with the times! Nice work boys! They were both mixing on Traktor Scratch Pro two laptops. Chus with a PC and Ceballos with a MacBook.
I’ve finally decided to take the plunge and get down with the wonderful and wacky world of blogging! It took me a few minutes to configure wordpress but after some minor tinkering with my server and setting up my MySQL database, here I am!
